The heart of any autoloading pistol is the magazine. Para's new PXT magazines are the ultimate refinement of the 1911's cardiology system. Unlike magazines used by other companies from outside vendors that stamp various names on the same product, all Para PXT magazines are built and assembled in Para's state-of-the -art manufacturing plant. From start to finish, quality is Para's first consideration in producing all of its products.
Using computer aided design Para created the ultimate dies for producing the perfect tube. All Para PXT magazines tubes are heat-treated for maximum strength and durability insuring the stability of the lips. Each tube is welded together with the laser precision creating an almost invisible seam along the spine of the magazine.
Inside the PXT tube, no cost was spared in the spring material. All PXT magazines springs, whether in single-stack or double-stack magazines, are made of 17-7 stainless steel to guarantee that the spring will not take a set when the magazine is fully loaded.
The follower for the single-stack magazine was designed by the genius of Para and then carefully crafted in Para's own mold shop. Teflon infused polymer was specified for the follower so that it glides effortlessly up the tube as each round is fed into the single-stack magazine. Another bonus is the design of the follower in our full-size, single-stack magazine for our PXT LDA model pistols. It allows you to load eight rounds, one more than the traditional 1911 magazine.
While some may not think that the magazine base plate is of much importance, we know that it is what holds the magazine together and it is usually the first thing to hit the ground on a rapid magazine exchange. Our standard capacity single-stack magazines use a welded steel base plate. For our extra-capacity single-stack magazine and our double-stack magazines we carefully selected a polymer with properties of both elasticity and durability. The base plates are made of a high impact Nylon polymer and each one was carefully designed to perfectly fit the magazine well of the Para model pistol that uses it. The base plates are easily removable for cleaning the magazine.
The bottom line is that the heart of your new Para pistol has the best feeding magazine in the world. The Para Pro Shop is your resource for extra original equipment Para magazines for both single-stack and double-stack model pistols. And for anyone having a 1911 that needs a heart transplant you can obtain the Para PXT eight-round single-stack magazines at the Para Pro Shop, www.paraproshop.com.
